BP18 Mop Brush Size 3. Wooden handle. A good paint brush or artists brush for the ceramic decorator or crafter. These brushes are popular in a clay cafes studios and workshops. Mop brushes are good for banding applying glaze and/or good amounts of colour. Because they take long to dry and take more effort to rinse completely mops are not the best brush for paint application but they are exceptionally good for wetting large areas of paper or for blotting or blending paint that is already applied. It is used to soften and blend wet colors generally floated areas or for softening the blending of the wet-in-wet technique and for absorbing excess media. It is used dry and is not dragged through the paint but lightly pounced on the surface with a very light tickling pressure.
